A new product is being added to Kärcher's range of steam cleaners: the SC 5 Deluxe Signature Line is the new flagship model of the range. Whether on taps, tiles, glass surfaces or floorboards – with the efficient use of steam the result is always a clean, healthy living environment. Thanks to the VapoHydro function and the comprehensive accessories included in the scope of delivery, the device can be used for various applications. The modern design provides ample storage space, the heating process can be monitored using a digital temperature display. The model is part of the Kärcher "Signature Line".


Hygienic cleaning with steam

Like all devices in the Kärcher product category, the steam cleaner ensures hygienic cleanliness in the home – from the kitchen to the bathroom. There is no need for detergents thanks to the effective and hot steam. When working with the device, only clear tap water is used in the form of hot steam, providing particularly impressive cleaning power. Thanks to this steam, the SC 5 Deluxe "Signature Line" also removes common household bacteria and viruses in addition to dirt and deposits.*


Simple use

With the short heat-up time of three minutes, the steam cleaner is quickly ready for use and easy to operate. A LED light strip integrated in the front of the devices lights up red during the heating phase. Once the steam cleaner is ready to use, the colour changes to green.

The model also has a temperature display that shows the heating process in the tank. Three steam stages that can be adjusted using a control dial make it possible to adapt the steam flow to the respective surface and the degree of contamination. This permits gentle cleaning appropriate to the material. A detachable fresh water tank ensures uninterrupted operation. If the water supply runs low, it can be refilled at the tap at any time.
Extra function for stubborn dirt
The additional VapoHydro function helps users in particular when stubborn dirt such as limescale on fittings should be removed. Hot water is mixed with the steam. This ensures an additional cleaning performance. Heavy dirt is not only removed fibre-deep, but also rinsed away.
Accessories for all applications
The scope of delivery includes a floor nozzle together with microfibre cloths for cleaning larger hard floors as well as a carpet glider for treating carpets. Additional hand, point, round and crevice nozzles as well as compatible microfibre cloths are suitable for cleaning small areas, fittings, crevices or ovens. A detachable hose allows the steam cleaner to be also retrofitted with a compatible iron for the steam ironing station.

* When cleaning at a cleaning speed of 30 cm/s using the maximum steam stage and with direct contact with the surface to be cleaned, 99.99% of all common household bacteria on common smooth, hard household surfaces are killed (test germs: Enterococcus hirae). With selective cleaning with the Kärcher steam cleaner, i.e. with a steaming duration of 30 seconds at the maximum steam stage with direct contact with the surface being cleaned, 99.999% of enveloped viruses, such as coronavirus or influenza viruses (except the hepatitis B virus), can be eliminated on common household smooth, hard surfaces (test germ: modified vaccinia virus Ankara).
