It works on the sonar principle - emitting ultrasonic waves that, when reflected off an obstacle, determine the distance between the car and the obstacle. While reversing, the device correctly identifies obstacles in the path of the vehicle and warns the driver by signaling with sound. The buzzer can operate in 3 sound modes: high, low, and completely muted. Mode change is done with a switch on the housing.
