Midland introduces a new, complete line of handheld radios XT, operating in the publicly available PMR-446 standard. The offer includes 5 models and 2 suitcase sets enriched with additional accessories. The line includes both very attractively priced proposals such as the Midland X10 and X30, as well as models with advanced functionality such as the Midland X50, X60, and X70. The Midland X50 and X70 Adventure versions are suitcases with 2 radios, microphone headsets, chargers, and batteries. All radios are carefully designed with appealing cases, attractive packaging, and, except for the entry-level X10, feature charging in USB standard. RANGE The maximum range depends on terrain conditions and is largest in open, flat spaces. All obstacles such as trees, hills, buildings affect its limitations. In particular, radio waves propagate poorly inside complex, metal structures and from the interior of a vehicle. The average range in a city among buildings and obstacles does not exceed 1 or 2 km. In sparsely populated areas with single trees, the achievable range is 4-6 km. In open areas without obstacles between antennas, as in the mountains, connections can sometimes occur over distances of 10 km or more.
