The throne of Trondheim is at stake! In the box of this cumulative edition, you'll find the base game and two major expansions: Dark Mountains and Valhalla.

Workers
Send them to the battlefield to gain resources, recruit Warriors, go hunting or go on war expeditions against monsters.
Warriors
They are represented by dice. Each type of Warrior has a different color of dice with different chances of success. Assign them to fight Trolls, Draugr or Monsters in distant lands.
Fight
Fight enemies by rolling dice on assigned Warriors and dealing damage to them. Enemies also attack and can kill your Warriors. You can use Gods' Grace tokens to reroll dice.
Hunting
Hunt in Hunting Grounds to get Food. This will allow you to gather the provisions you need for your overseas expeditions to defeat your enemies.
Travel
Take a longflight across the sea to distant lands. Before you get there, consider the Adventures card - these cards can have negative effects, such as the loss of Warriors or Food. Then just fight the Monster.
Glory
Earn Glory for defeating enemies, completing objectives from Destiny cards, owning Runes and Longships, and for unused Favor of the Gods and Coin tokens at the end of the game.
Asymmetry
Each of the five Viking Leaders offers unique abilities. Your choice of Leader determines your initial strategy and how you interact with different elements of the game, which increases replayability.

Dark Mountains Expansion
The Dark Mountains, the first expansion for Warriors of Midgard, takes your adventures to the distant dark mountains where the Bergrisar live and fight a constant battle against the Archer clans. Fight the fearsome Mountain Giants and free the Archers who will join your cause. Once freed, Archers will prove to be worthy allies, rarely missing, and exceptional hunters. The enemies you face will easily fall before their sure shots.
What's new?
The expansion, included in the Jarl Edition, adds a ton of new content to the base game, including the ability to play with five players. The expansion includes new land travel, a new enemy type (Bergrisar), more powerful Trolls and Draugrs, as well as additional rune cards, market tiles, and much more.
Mountain Giants
Face the Bergrisars - the Mountain Giants! Unlike sea monsters, you'll fight them on land using the new Land Journey cards, which require you to pay with coins instead of food.
Archers
They are the new Warriors represented by green dice. They are characterized by high effectiveness in combat and give the opportunity to get double the amount of food during the hunt. You will get them by defeating the Bergrisars.
New challenges
Face off against a host of new enemies, including Mists, Rock Creatures, Troglodytes, and Troll Lords. Use new Rune and Destiny cards. Play in a 5-player squad.
New Leaders
Try out 2 new Viking Leaders who have unique abilities that affect your gameplay strategy. They'll join the characters you're already familiar with, offering a fresh take on power-building...
