AG180A WATER HARDNESS METER - description

Electronic water hardness and salinity meter. This tester will be useful in everyday life when checking the purity of drinking water and in other applications (e.g. aquarism or laboratory tests). The device is very simple to use - just remove the cap, immerse the electrodes in the tested water. The built-in LCD display enables accurate and clear measurement of water hardness (its contamination with inorganic compounds) and its temperature. It does not require external power sources (electrical network), but only one CR2032 battery, which makes it extremely mobile and safe in contact with water.

The water hardness meter allows you to check the level of water contamination with inorganic substances. The meter is scaled in the values of "ppm" - parts per million, i.e. the most popular method of determining the amount of chemical compounds dissolved in water in the world. The less polluted the water, the lower its electrical conductivity will be. Raw, unfiltered water can show a result of up to 200 PPM or higher.
The conductivity of water EC can be considered as an indicator of salt content, waters containing few ions have low electrical conductivity, while, for example, sea water has a very high conductivity. The commonly used unit of water conductivity is μS/cm (= micro-Siemens/cm). Fresh water or pond water should have a conductivity between 300 and 1200 μS/cm.
The tester is characterized by high accuracy of measurements.
The measurement result is read on a clear LCD display. You will immediately check whether the water is suitable for drinking and other uses.
The operation of the tester is fabulously simple - just immerse the electrode in water and the measurement result immediately appears on the reader.
Built-in physical function buttons for easy use. The HOLD function saves the measured result and SHIFT changes the TDS/EC measurement function
