WPG sockets are designed for separable, multiple connections of coaxial RF (radio frequency) cables with electronic devices equipped with IEC sockets, such as subscriber sockets, television receivers, audio-video modulators, etc. The body of the plug is cast from light alloys, which provides high mechanical stability and very good shielding. A coaxial conductor with a braid unwound onto its outer sheath is screwed into the threaded opening of the body. The connection of the plug to the inner conductor occurs automatically (pressure mechanism), without soldering. Plug connectors are offered in two versions - WPW as "IEC" - "male" and WPG as "IEC" - "female".
